Goat another podium at the World Cheese Awards

Norwegian cheese Fanaost is the world champion at the World Cheese Awards 2018-2019 held in Norway in Bergen.

Some information of this which was the 31st edition of the World Cheese Awards competition which is now the largest competition in the world, dedicated exclusively to cheeses.
This competition is intended to reward the best cheese producers in the world, from small artisan producers to large world producers.

There were 3472 cheeses from 41 different countries: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Wales, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Guernsey, England, Ireland, Northern Ireland, Israel, Italy, Kenya, Liechtenstein, Mexico, New Zealand, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Scotland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, South Africa, Sweden, Switzerland, United States.

The jury was made up of 235 experts, who came from all over the world, from exactly 30 different countries, to smell, taste and assign a score to each cheese tasted.

Finally, a Super Jury of 16 experts chose the overall winner, the World Champion.

For this edition we went to the podium with our Caprone who obtained the bronze medal in the category of aged goat cheese.

The next edition which will be the 32nd will be held from 16 to 26 October 2019 in Bergamo during the event Forme.
