Pino
Hard Goat Blue Cheese - "the Husband"
Product code
It’s called Pino, a goat’s milk blue cheese… and it’s “Pinetta’s husband” (another goat’s blue cheese, which is also called “the wife”).
A great cheese for blue cheese lovers, but highly appreciated by everyone for its bold flavor. We call it “male” (since we also stock the gentler and more delicate “wife” Pinetta) precisely because “Mister Pino” has a bolder, rougher, and more rustic character, a discreet persistence, but ultimately a very sweet finish.
It has a less creamy texture than Pinetta, more compact, and with much more pronounced blue veining and a darker color.
A great cheese to savor in all its fullness, perfect as a meditation cheese or even as an appetizer, or even in the kitchen… in short, our Pino always tastes good wherever you put it!
Its aging varies from 3 to 5 months, and consequently, so does its intensity.
In 2014 and 2026 it obtained the QUALITY AWARD, while in 2015 was awarded the prize of EXCELLENCE in the national dairy contest INFINITI BLU, dedicated to blue cheese that is held every year in Gorgonzola.
At the Italian National Cheese Competition for Goat Cheeses “All’Ombra della Madonnina” in 2018 and 2024 it was awarded the Superior Quality Award and the Quality Award in 2026.
